Inscribed:- the Teign in flood, Gidleigh Park
Born in Chagford, Devon. Studied at Exeter & heatherley's, London. Exhibited locally in Plymouth, 1871, 1877, & 1904 at Exeter. Also at the RA, RBA, & RI. The Queen of Spain commissioned him to paint some Dartmoor views!
