Landscape, coastal & still-life painter in oils & watercolour. Born in Reading, educated at Reading University & Arbroath Art College. Moved to St. Ives in 1923. Built a studio at Lily Cottage, Lamorna in 1927. STISA 1938-52. Exhibited at the Fine Art Society, Royal Academy, and elsewhere.Works are in the Royal Collection, Norwegian Royal Collection, and many regional museums.
