Frank Hewett was a well known (in S.Devon) local Devon artist who lived in West Buckland, South Devon. He painted mainly in watercolour local scenes in & around Thurlestone, Bantham, & S. Devon. This was probably a commission piece due to its size, being dated, and sheer quality. By far the best one I have yet seen. Shows Thurlestone Church in the background, with the lane leading to West Buckland. Comes beautifully framed, plus washline mount.
