Born in Newquay, & studied as an architect but turned to art. In WW1 a conscientious objector so sent to Egypt to paint. Lived in Horrabridge, Devon before returning to Newquay after the war. Excellent quality example by this artist. Original mount, & backing board, with a modern moulding
