Anna H. Lea Merritt 1844-1930 w/c the White House 24 x 34 cms. SOLD

This watercolour is signed with monogram which looks remarkably like this artist. Having never had work by Merritt before, I do not know if the monogram is hers, or someone elses. However it is a lovely work!

Born in Philadelphia, USA. Moved to England to study art. Became RBA in 1903, RP 1891, ARE 1887-92 & 1905-19, ASWA 1886. One painting was purchased for the nation. Exhibited at all the main regional & national galleries
